Sixth album in for Teutonic Metallers 'Accept' and despite a slightly more commercial approach, it's business as usual as they notch up another platter of hard hitting rockers. 'Metal Heart' also welcomes back guitarist 'Jörg Fischer' who departed before 'Restless and Wild' and replaces his replacement 'Hermann Franks'.

The title track opens proceeding in strong fashion as an atmospheric intro gives way to a simplistic but effective pulsating rocker, the chorus is hard hitting and effective, while the neo-classical instrumental work is a nice touch. Moving into more commercial territory is 'Midnight Mover', a catchy albeit predictable cut, that relies heavily on the big chorus, that said the fret work is still rigorous and sharp. The tempo is lifted for the more stringent 'Up to the Limit', which ebbs and flows nicely giving a slight 'AC / DC' feel, 'Udo' give a powerful performance and it all comes together nicely. The pulsating 'Wrong is Right' ensues strongly and what it lacks in refinement it makes up for with intensity, being fuelled by some rigorous driving rhythm and features an excellent instrumental break, which comes complete with duelling fret work. Not quite so impressive is the more commercial 'Screaming for a Love Bite', lyrically it's uninspiring and ultimately repetitive, the only saving grace is a fine solo. Back on track is the 'AC / DC' style plodder 'Too High to get it Right', the gang chanted chorus is strong and gives it their characteristic sound, while the guitaring is again a highlight. 'Accept' and '.U.D.O.' are often guilty of some shoddy lyrics and 'Dogs on Leads' is a prime example, musically it's pretty decent but ultimately this is a lacklustre effort. 'Teach Us to Survive' is a bit of a departure from their normal sound, in fact this is pretty unusual with a funky meets almost comical approach all blended with the 'Accept' sound, that said not really anything remarkable. Improvements are made with the 'Scorpions' sounding 'Living for Tonight' and while a more chart friendly track it's well executed, 'Udo's' punchy vocals don't quite work so well, but still a good catchy number. Even better is the uncompromising 'Bound to Fail', this top chugger features some sublime gang chanted backing vocals, while lyrically it's an improvement and overall makes for one of the best songs present.

Not flawless, but if you like 'Accept' this should be in your collection.
