The first offering from 'Impellitteri' and often referred to as the 'Black Album', this is no reflection of the music, but due to the basic album cover. Very raw in approach which is emphasised by the mucky and muffled production, but well in the vein of classic 'Impellitteri'.

The slashing opener 'Lost in the Rain', is a pedal to the metal, guitar frenzy, 'Chris Impellitteri's' solo is intricate and entertaining and although 'Rob Rock's' vocals aren't at their peak yet, are still an example of sheer melodic power- my choice track. Following on is the mesmerising, rapid fire, rocker 'Play with Fire', again the guitaring is furious and lays down a terrific driving rhythm. Next up is the simplistic blazer 'Burning', with solid chorus and strafe work that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Closing the disc is the slightly slower but no less exciting 'I'll be Searching' which sounds reminiscent of work from the next release 'Stand in Line', with its more subtle plodding approach.

overlooking the average production this debut release is a blistering dose of guitar heavy 'Neo-classical' music, that no fan of shred heavy axe work should disregard.
