'Phil Mogg' and 'Michael Schenker' really find their footing on this, their second release together, the song writing is much sharper and the guitar work slips into the compositions effortlessly. The early space rock influence, is well on its way out by this release and the 'British Hard Rock' style is thoroughly established.

Two memorable 'Hard Rock' stables open the album. 'Let it Roll' is a top pulsating groover, with superb driving rhythm, quality guitaring and forceful vocals, also included is a clever mid track slow down, that breaks the song up nicely- my choice track of the album. 'Shoot Shoot' is another strong early rocker, a very energetic number, with lively rhythm and hearty chorus, also check-out 'Michael Schenker's' guitar solo, excellent, especially considering the year. Less impressive is the crawling ballad 'High Flyer', which is set at a painfully slow pace, this is especially evident considering the fast tempo of the opening tracks. 'Love Lost Love' sounds too awkward to me, the stop start rhythm is irritating after a while, the lyrics are predictable, but the guitar solos act as this tracks savour. Much better is the intelligently written 'Out in the Street', a very diverse track, with a mixture of rock and ballad sections, all tied together by a great all round performance. 'Mother Mary' has a bass line that makes this song sound similar to 'Judas Priest's' 'Grinder', only not as fast, features rock segments and slower patches like 'Out in the Street'. The heavy drum work of 'Too Much of Nothing' is a bit overdone, and distracts from some clean vocals and sharp axe work. 'Dance your Life Away' highlights some nice flowing rhythm, and 'Michael Schenker' on form, lyrically a bit dull, but still a fair number. The closing track 'This Kid's' starts off as a fairly average number, but slowly turns into a great driving plodder, that closes with a sweet atmospheric outro.

A much fuller and consistent release than the previous album 'Phenomenon', a few quirky areas present, but still an enjoyable slab of 70's 'British Hard Rock'.
