By 95' 'Hair Metal's' popularity had pretty much reached rock bottom, and 'Slaughter' knew that their style of polished chart friendly rockers would sink like a lead balloon. So a new approach was taken on this album, and although there are glimpses of the commercial 'Stick It to Ya' and 'Wild Life', the sound it toughened up, as the band really start to rock out on a few tracks.

The thumping 'Live like there's no Tomorrow' kick starts the album, a magnificent grooving rhythm flows throughout, the chorus is catchy and the laid back mid section makes for a clever twist, -my pick of the album. 'Get used to It' is a solid plodder with some nice vocal work, but overall makes for a disjointed listen. 'Searchin'' flaunts an early 'AC DC' chug and some sweet flowing guitar work, 'Mark Slaughter' again proves he's still a top vocalist with liquid smooth vocal work. Other impressive cuts include, the 'Motley Crue' style party rockin' 'Let the Good Times Roll', the perfectly performed ballad 'Breakdown 'n' Cry' and the care-free ballad / rocker 'Yesterday's Gone'. 'Hard Times' is a superb riff driven sing-a-long, with strong gritty guitaring and nice changes of vocal styles. The instrumental 'Divine Order' is straight out the 'Led Zeppelin' handbook, but hey, what artists haven't borrowed from it!. 'Prelude' has a definite early 'Lillian Axe' feel about it, but is well executed. The closing two tracks are both crackers. 'Outta my Head' is a tough rocker, with scintillating guitar work, and is cleverly penned, while the soaring 'Unknown Destination', is an all out in-your-face belter. My only nark with this album is the 'Beatles' sounding 'It'll be Alright' which does come across as a bit of a rip-off.

This more uncompromising style of 'Slaughter's' hits a cord with me and a variety of tough rockers and well executed ballads makes this a very respectable album.
