A really strong one-off release, heavily in the commercial 'Hard Rock 'category, but don't let that put you off, these boy know how to rock. A classic example of an album released at the wrong time, five years earlier and this beauty would have been a stellar success, but the fickle face of 'Metal' changed, and groups like this were pushed to the back row, still we are left with a hidden gem, that shouldn't be ignored.

The album opens up with 'Life's a Bitch' a good hearty rocker, with a captivating rolling rhythm and strong well written chorus, reminiscent of 'Mötley Crüe's' best. 'Dr. Love' follows in similar fashion, with plenty of tasty axe work and top vocals from the accomplished 'Johnny Gioeli'. 'Rhythm from a Red Car' features a mesmerising pulsing beat, that's guaranteed to have your neck moving, great sing-a-long lyrics and is just an all round great track. The album steps down a gear for the balladsy 'Change of Heart', nicely performed but a bit run-of-the-mill. 'Everything' is an enjoyable romp, with nice harmonised vocals and clever changes of pace. My pick of the disc though is the ripping 'Takin' me Down', with its glorious heavy sing-a-long chorus, superb shredding guitars throughout, and scintillating snaking fast-slow rhythm- superb. 'Hot Cherie' is a another choice number which builds from an acoustic intro into a solid raunchy rocker, with killer chorus and some sweet guitaring courtesy of 'Neal Schon'. 'Bad Taste' is again a strong rocker, with plenty of brash guitaring and enjoyable sing-a-long lyrics. The latter songs aren't quite up there with the rest, as more predictable balladsy material creeps in, 'Can't Find my Way' and 'I'll be there' have a very commercial feel about them, '31-91' is a short acoustic instrumental that's well played but feels a little out of place, and the closing 'In the Hands of Time' is a slow, fairly dull ballad.

An unexpected jewel from 92' and anyone who liked classic 80' 'Hair Metal' / 'Melodic Hard Rock' will find something of interest from this cracker.
