Originally a side project for 'Helloween's' 'Kai Hansen' but turned out to be a lot more than a project as he quit 'Helloween' for 'Gamma Ray' full time. Originally vocals were courtesy of 'Ralf Scheepers', but following his failure to join 'Judas Priest', formed his own band with 'Mat Sinner' called 'Primal Fear' and the rest is history. 'Kai Hansen' took over on vocals and have since found much success and praise as one of Europe's finest Power Metal outfits.
